Below is a copy of Adam's pedigree. It shows Adam was a the Great, Great Grandson of Odin. The similarity between Oden offspring such as "Extra Special" and later generations of offspring such as Adam is striking. The stability of the breeding is remarkable.

Also interesting is the number of Bauernhoffen litters. This paper shows that Adam was a 6A litter. This means that Henri had gone through the alphabet 5 times and was starting on the 6th time at that point. That's 26 X 5 or 130 litters + 1 (ie., the 6A litter).

Bauernhoffen's Rex was the father of Adam along with being the father of many other litters. For many years Rex was one of Henri's main dogs. He was something to behold. When he would get excited and start barking, his eyes would have a reddish glow. We are sorry, we could not find a picture of Rex. We are still looking.
